Project Status

• June 2009: coupling with mashviz flows
• June 2008: demo at HT08
• July 2007: submission to IEEE Infovis Contest 2007

Getting started

• Google Earth: download the latest FREE version here. Remove the "blue halo" around the earth and all the ground related data (3D Buildings, ..). We recommend closing Google Earth before launching the navigation.
• Movies dataset: is located on VizOD and consists in top keywords and movies, extracted and reduced from IMDB. Background pictures shows all the movies connection the top keywords, but only a few movies are browsable.
• Starting the experiment: click on the following link:
  LOGIN REQUIRED
  (and choose directly opening with Google Earth). Reload this page and click again to start a new session (reseting the navigation history). Plase be patient, picture transfer might take a few seconds. Enjoy.

History Visualization

Icons and links have the following color code:

History Navigation

Using backward and forward buttons helps the user to navigate through his navigation history. The user can also go back to his homepage (Homeview in our case) . A brand new up button has been added, proving user access to global and abstract view by means of a click on .

Left sidebar shows the visited webpages as a linear list. By clicking on one of these, the use will interact with his previously visited pages:
